Would anybody let me interview them for a school paper?

I am a senior in college, and have to do one last paper.... I am comparing health coverage in Canada and United States and how it affects IBD patients....

I am a sufferer myself, and am trying to make this paper a masterpiece.

Preferably I like to interview one American and one Canadian....

It could be through phone or chat.....

It would really mean a lot to me, and give my paper a real life element.....

UC21, I know you're just trying to do your project, but it's a rule here on HealingWell that you can't put your email address in the text of a post.  You may, however, edit your profile to include it and other members can access it that way.  It's also technically against forum rules to ask to interview people w/o Peter's (the forum administrator) permission, but since you're a regular member, I'm going to let it slide.

I'm open to it, but my health insurance has been great with my UC coverage so it might not give you the juicy content you're looking for. I also have pretty mild UC (three flares in 9 years)

I live in the U.S. and have Ulcerative Colitis and no insurance. I have had doctors refuse to treat me because I don't have insurance and joined a clinical research study to get free medical treatment and medication. I currently get my meds from Canada.

I'd be willing to do it too. I have not had insurance with UC, had group policy with UC, lost group coverage and had to go on COBRA until I exhaust those benifits. Used patient assistant programs when needed.

If you're looking for a positive angle I have had excellent health insurance coverage. I continuously remain to be shocked at everything being paid for and not once have I had something questioned or not covered. Too bad I keep flaring!

Sorry to those who haven't been as fortunate. UC is hard enough with good coverage.
