Well, thank God they worked something out. I have Personal Choice Pa Blue Cross and Blue Shield. It is excellent! Good thing my husband prepaid for himself and me before he retired. He is now on Medicare with Blue Cross and Bl Shield as secondary insurance (no out of pocket money). It's better I have the surgery before I go on Medicare.
Hydrocodone is what I take for the pain too. My family physician prescribed it two years ago when I came home from the hospital. I was in so much pain then that it radiated into my vagina and down both legs to the knees. I only felt some relief when I paced up and down bent over like a pretzel. UGH! It took seven months to come out of that flare. Remission for another seven months...sheer heaven! Last May I started another flare and have only had a very short remission, about six weeks, when I went on Remicade. That was short lived.
I called the surgeon today, as I am in agony. Weird because yesterday I felt pretty good. His assistant said they may be able to move the surgery up a week or two but they want to make sure I am off the Humira for six weeks. They also have to wait until I have my stress echo test and that isn't until next Tuesday. If I feel like I do today, there is NO WAY I will even be able to take a stress echo. It's a b**** gettin old.
