Remicade dosages

Was just wondering what the highest remicade dosage you can try before you know it isn't working anymore. i had a horrible day today but i also am not sure if i have a stomach virus. My 9 month old had watery diarrhea for 3 days and is just getting over it. i had lots of watery diarrhea today with urgency....have been trying to get out of this flare forever and this is just making it worse i think....ugh...i just want to feel good!!!

it depends on your weight. 10 mg/kg for me was 800 mg.

i recall reading posts awhile ago (on another forum i think) about people receiving triple the dose at 15 mg/kg or even greater, but that has to be very rare and most GI's wouldn't try it.

if you're receiving the infusions 8 weeks apart your GI could move them to every 6 weeks. I've also heard of people getting them every 4 weeks but again, that's rare.

you could always try humira or enroll in a trial for another new medication.

personally, when i had two 10 mg/kg remicade infusions 5 1/2 weeks apart and that did nothing i knew i was done with the drug, heh.
