To everyone who is desparate for help

anyone who wants the address for the amish guy I got it before they took it down. I kind of feel like a jackass even asking to see if they can help me, kind of like i'd be taking advantage of them, because if i wasnt sick would i be contacting them ...no. I wanted to go visit the amish country in tennesse when my grandparents went a few years ago but i didnt i figured they get enough people to come oogle and stare at the way they live.

Well so far with my update.
this is my forth day without Prednisone, and 3 day without Asacol. My MD said to stop the steroids, anyways so that is why I took that action. As far as the Asacol goes I decided to stop that one as well, since I have been having normal BM I saw that the pills are going through me without dissolving. That is why I tought to stop them as well, and see what will happen.
So far I have been having regular BM. I would have some bleeding only in the morning. I do go often to the bathroom, but that is because I have cramping and I just want to get staff out, eventhough I do not have the sensation of me going. I don't have to rush to find a bathroom as well, sometimes the cramiping goes a way in a matter of seconds. The only way I explain this is that whatever is passing trhough my colon is bothering me and that is why I have that slight pain. During the day everything is normal, no loose stool and no bleeding.
I asked the guy when I was there about me having a hard stool, and that it may irritate my collon. He told me that that is exacly what I need, to have my colon cleaned out and start fresh. He also said that the reason I had loose stool is because my colon is inflamed because of the crap that is built up there, and the opening is becomming too small. What happens from here is that my brain wants to speed up the process of transfering the ,you know what faster, since the opening is small, and that is why I have loose stool.
He called the thing built up in my colon WHITE FLOUR, because it sticks to it. He told me that one of the main function of the colon is to expand and shrink, so it can digest the food. Well this white flour is sticking to the walls and makes hard for the collon to perform that action, from where I get my cramps. He said that is why my immune system is attacking my colon as well because my body is trying to protect itself.
That is why he told me to avoid anything made with flour, he said I could have whole grain bread, but very little. He told me to avoid deep fried staff, patatoes and rice, and pork. He said to stay away from raw meat. He told me I can eat fruit veggies, lamb, fish.

As I said I am sceptical as you may be about this. I can say this about my self thought. I met 4 doctors, and this guy made a lot more sence. He told me he wants to treat the root of the problem not the symptoms. I DONT KNOW IF I SHOULD TRUST HIM OR NOT EITHER. The thing is over all, I do not have loose stool and very little bleeding, I am not taking any meds, and I even began working out as well, like biking and lifting weights.

I dont know, maybe I will get sick in a few weeks. That is why dont rush in doing anything, so I dont missliead you guys and give you empty hopes.

I told him about a book I was reading. The Makers Diet, and he knew everything about it. He said it took the guy a year to fix him self. He told me he would do this with me in a mounth. I was smiling at that point. So again I am very suspicious and not sure if I should believe anything he says, but you know what, I have tryed everything and the only thing left for me is a sergery, so I am trying anything that is out there.

I will see him again in a few weeks, he said he wanted to see me again.

For the people who want to purache those pills. Yes you can buy the items fresh from a store, but what I noticed on the bottles is that they have weighted amount of each particular thing. So I dont think you can go and just buy those staff. Also those pills had the manufacturers web-site and I can give them to you. In my case I was scared to put more staff in my body, especially since I am not sure about the amount or how will I react to them. That is why I would perefer to meet him, so he told me how much exactly to take.

Astral...The guy is talking through his butt with lingo that doesn't make sense. You misunderstand the ability of the digestive tract to deal with anything that is wrong....and with UC, nothing sticks to it, but unfortunately it's in high gear sort of throwing a hissy fit of the worst kind with inflammation that causes destruction.

The stuff that's in the capsules are digestive enzymes, stool bulkers and antispasmodics...

They don't seem offensive....but you do realise UC cannot be cured.

Don't put all your hopes in this....just get really smart about all the ingredients in the capsules as well as UC and all the medications for it and why it's used.

Some people can be helped this way, others cannot. We all need to keep trying and to find our own path to health.

The moderators are only doing their job (deleting personal info that appears in posts) because personal info can stay here forever and come back to cause people grief many years later. Spambots send me an amazing amount of crap email daily for Viagra just because my email address appeared on a webpage long ago. At least that's something the Amish guy won't have to deal with the email I mean.

Astral I know you said you werent gonna post anymore but if you check up on this thread, What kind of tests/examinations did he give/do to you to determine the ammounts of each item to give you? Thats my problem with probiotics I dont know which ones and how much to take. only time I took a specific probiotic was once and my intestines exploded and brought forth many painful cramping trips to the bathroom. I'm taking Digestive Advantage at the moment and it helps with to solidify things, it has some probiotics in it but the ammounts arent specified on the packaging just listed.

I am new in here. Today morning a get email from my friend with this forum. First of all, I want to say thank you to trying to help other.
I read your post and I see that my situation similar like your. I am also take Asocol, steroids and on remicade. I was diagnose with UC 3 years ago and start the Remicade on January2010, but right now I am in the hospital and look like nothing helping me too. Also I now on SCD diet, I don't know if you hear anything about that diet. My Doctor tell me that I need the surgery but I really don't what the surgery , I think I am too yang for it.
Astral, please can you share your information about that Amish doctor, I want to go and see him, I live in Cincinnati Oh and it's not far from Indiana. I will try any thing what going to help, if it help you, why not to try it. I try so many things, diet, herbs, change 6 doctors in this three years this my 6 time in the hospital. I really need some help. I know it is shod be some cure of this illness.

As I said I do not want to give you empty hopes abouth this whole thing. As I said I do see a difference with the things I have tryed. I think it would be better if we all wait 5-6 weeks and see how am I doing. I might be in remission just because, not because of the things he gave me.
I do know about the SCD diet. I am so sorry to hear that you are so sick. I know what it is to be in a foreign country especially when you are that sick. All I am going to say now is from my own experience:
My main doctor wanted to do a sergery on me 3 mounths ago, because I was not getting better and apperantly the remicade was not affective. I was so scared that I almost I start crying, not because I was so sick, but because I was alone. i refused to go in the hospital. the nurses at the doctors office convinced me to go and just get better for a few days, and then have a fresh mind and make a decision. i stayed for 5 days. All they gave me was food through a TP line, and lots of steroids. I did get better but droped 10 pouds in a week. After I got a little better, they sent me home. My doctor left the IV in my arm saying that he is pretty sure I will get sick again. During that time my Dad came from my country to take care of me. I ate only improted and home made staff. I ganed 15 pounds for a week in a half. I know i had an apetite because of the steroids. My doctor still did not want to give me Remicade eventhough I did feel better and gained some weight. He told me that I react very goog on the steroids, but can not live on them. That is why he told me to look into sergery again. I told him that I think I am doing better, and I pay for the medicine, and it seems that it does not harm me, but can only help me. So I convinced him to give it to me, the max dose of 10mg per pound and see what will happen. At the time I was on 30mg prednisone and the full dose of Asacol. After I got the Remi, my condition was improving with every day. All my frineds could not believe how different i looked with every day. Again I was eating everything but home made. That last for 5 weeks. Then I began having problems again. I began having more and more blood with every day. then I began having loose stool, so I got scared, really scared. Week 6 I made an appointment and already knew what my doc will say.... SERGERY... . He saw me and his first words were I can not believe I am talking to the same person. By that time I got all of my weight back, I could say I was looking fat. I told him I am getting sick again, and that again I did not last 8 weeks with Remi. He told me that I was so sick in the past that it took time for the Remicade to catch up. He told the nurse to give me the hieghest dose again. Now I was relieved and thought I will get a lot better again. After me getting the infusion or about 4-5 days after, I kept having same issues, lots of bleeding, and loose stool, I now I was on 10 mg Prednisone and still the full dose of Asacoll. It seemed that I was heading the same road again. Then I heard about this guy, and decided to pay him a visit. As I wrote I had nothing to loose and I was desparate. So he gave me these staff. I thought I already put so much crap in my body in every oppenig that I had, that I thought something additional wont bother me. I tryed a small dose just to see if I am going to have negative affect or get sick. Did not have any change. The nex day I tryed the full dose. During this time I still had loose stool and lots of blood. After one day of these staff, I began having hard stool. I know there are things that can make your BM hard, but I thought that is a good beginning. I have not taken any meds. This is my 5th day now. I would think without steroids or Assacol I would get worst, but no. Right now I do have regular stool, and very little blood in the morning hours. Even last night I did not have blood at all.

If I get sick in the next 5-6 weks I will know he is full of ....... But if I am still in the same situation I will probably say no to Remicade as well.


I hope this helps. A lot of people are saying that the sergery is not so bad and will make you feel a lot better. My question is if it is that good why don't we all have our colon taken out and get it over with. My answare is, that I think from my conversation with my Docs, that there are a lot of possibilities of complications. And honostly I dont want to have a bag or someone cuttuing parts from me, especially if I am doing ok. BUT IF YOU ARE REALLY THAT SICK AND HAVE NO CHOICE MAYBE YOU SHOULD DO IT. This is just my opinion, dont trust me, SOME PEOPLE THINK I AM A SCAMMER. It is your body and you know better what is happening with you. I will say that I was so sick that they had to feed me liquids through a TP line for 4 days. They gave me blood because I was anemec, and now I go and lift weights and ride a bike every afternoon, and my Doc wanted to do a sergery on me. I do hope God is with me and keeps looking over me. Maybe everything is a coinsedence, but I know I will keep believing I will get better.

Since all the MDs are saying I can not be helped or have just my syptoms down, I tought of me trying something else. That is what I am trying right now an alternative method. I refuse to believe I can not be helped. 200-300 years ago, people tought the planet was a flat surface.

This is one of the most hopeful and wonderful excerpts I have read on this forum. I think a great majority of us are tired of doctors running down their checklist, and upon exhausting their school taught options give us only one - surgery. With how much time you have put in here on your posts and the passion with which you write, I hope no one continues to doubt your integrity. Good luck with your treatment and keep us posted.

The supplements are harmless and many take similar individual ones.

If people want to believe in a cure....whatever. Eventually they wake-up and are worse than they've ever been.

You sound like my twin. I am a 26 year old engineer as well. My workout schedule was/is very close to the one you described.

I can see the benfits of the pills you are taking. If you look at my information below, you can see that I also take a lot of supplements. In fact, I take all the supplements in your pills, or either have them written down in a file as possible things to check into in the future. So, I almost completely agree where you are coming from.

My only disagreement would be completely stopping your 5ASA meds. You seem to have the same way of looking at this disease as I do: there are things that help, so what will it hurt to try them? Well, 5ASA have a long history of treating the symptoms of this disease. I know you (and many others, me included) want to treat the cause of the disease and not just the effects (inflammation), but what could it hurt to do both? In addition to 5ASA's treating the inflammation, they also reduce your risk of developing colon cancer.


I am all for your approach with this pill with different ingredients. It does certainly sound like it is working. I believe the ones I am taking are working. Even though I believe this, I still will not stop taking the 5ASA drugs because I also believe they are beneficial. It sounds like from your post you still thought the Asacol might be helping because you said when you stopped taking it, you were scared you were going to get worse. I just don't think it should strictly be an either/or decision between the Amish supplement pills and the Asacol. They can work together. Just something you might want to consider.

I think I wrote that this guy said that he can help me, and to forget about a sergery, in other words I assumed he will do more thatn just treating the syptoms.

You have a point about the Asacol. As I said I was experimenting to see what really works for me or not. You are right it does not hurt to keep taking them. So far I have not seen a difference with them or without them. I was worried that for the past few mounths I have taken so many meds that my liver is probably in shock. That is why decided to see what will hapeen.

So far I am still doing good, reagular stool, some bleeding in the morning. I had 2 days off work so I have been sitting a lot. I noticed that when I am more active I dont have any bleeding at all. I was just wondering if anyone had the same experience. I will probably still stay away from any drugs and see how I do. If I get worst I will definatelly go back on the assacol. I feel really good, eat, have an apetite and go not mare than 3 times to the bathroom in 24 hours.

This is becomming really funny for me. People are still thinking that I am scamming :) . I will say that I AM NOT, I am like anyone else. Trying to share ideas about what works for other people or for me. There 2 things I hate in life, to be called a lier and stupid .
For the people who had the greate idea with the IP adresses. Did i mention I had 2 Software Engennering Degrees :) Yes you can check the IP address based on the log in, but 99% of the IP are constatnly changing. Meaning even if I was pretending to be the same person I would still have different IP, simply becase I turn off and on my computer. By doing that you request different IP from your provider. There are only a few IP addresses in the world that are static, those are government and very powerfull companies, who run huge servers. They pay millions for static IP. If you want to check someone you need to record the MAC address, but rarely servers would record Mac and IP at the same time. Recording MAC is illigal, because it is like tapping a phone line, uless you are the police. Just some info to think about :)

I take my word back, some servers do record MAC and IP, and I hope the moderators can actually see that so they can clear the air out.

I did try the enemas, and what they gave me is more loose stool. I noticed that when I go in the bathroom I would pass whaetever with no blood and at the end I would have some bleeding. I explain this that whatever is passing through irritates the rectum, and that is why I do not have bleeding at the begging, but after the bleeding fallows. I hope I make sense. That is what I am thinking.
