latest word on Accutane as UC cause

Newest article. I would think if any of you can link your UC to Accutane use, it would be wise to follow this and possibly take action.

I Am in Canada..I took Accutane...I think this is only going on in the US?

I have a lawyer working on my case. I took Acutane in 2000 and had UC starting in 2005. They filed my case in 2008 and it is pending in the NJ courts. It may be years before I see any money, but as anyone with UC can attest, it probably can't make up for the suferring for possibly the rest of my life.

I took it in the 1980s, had mild UC like symptoms soon after and since but wasn't diagnosed with UC until 2009. Sure wish I could get help paying for the drugs

I was diagnosed with UC last week. I also took accutane when I was younger

The law firm I worked with was Ennis and Ennis. I took Accutane in 1983-84 and was diagnosed in 1986, but my medical records don't exist anymore, it was too late to prove that I took it.

Interestingly enough, no one I know with UC has touched accutane. Though, as me and a friend who had it went to the same high school, maybe it was something in the school lunches, lol.

I think most people have UC due to genetics, but there are a few of us who have it from abusing our bodies. For me, it was antibiotics and HFCS. Antibiotics killed the good bacteria in my colon. HFCS taxed my liver.

Also, for me, I know my digestive system (not just the colon) plays a part in my colitis. I can actually hear my food travel through my body when I'm flaring. Lots of digestive juices. Sometimes it gets so bad that it sounds like there is a thunderstorm inside my abdomen.
