Remicade for proctosigmoiditis

Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone has been prescribed remicade for proctosigmoiditis? It seems most people here that are using remicade have pancolitis.

I would think that if one's UC cannot be controlled with the initial meds of 5ASA oral/rectal or steroid oral/rectal...or pred or the other immunomodulators....

Yeah, my GI has mentioned it a couple of times. I kind of would like to "save" remicade as an option if my colitis spreads. I'm almost done with my prednisone taper and I've been on imuran for a month, but I'm still flaring, just not as badly. Kind of wonder if I should just put up with the cramping and bleeding... down to about 3-4 bms a day.

Christine1946's colitis is limited to her rectum, and I believe she has tried both Remicade and Humira
