hi ... i think my last reply or posting something was 2 month ago, i was really sick , i thought that was the end . everything comes to flare at 2 days my colitis condition was 15 bm a day , arthritics in chest !!!!! yes its rare type that cause inflammation between ribs , i couldn't breath or even sleep like normal people , anemia with very low blood pressure and finally fever and weight loss .......

oh my god what a days i cant forget . i felt like dead , all of this happened because i dont want to be on prednisone , i hate it , it cause me alot of problems ... now i'm of 10 mg about month and doctor dont want to reduce the dosage ( what should i do ) i know its a very low but prednisone shows all negative side effects rapidly with me rather than any other person ...


anyway now things are becoming to be better but i'm really afraid that condition will flare after reducing it gradually

the most thing that make me upset is that i wake up at night more that 2 times a day and i cant sleep normally at all.......

the dr put me on prednisone because the severe condition of uc that caused by taking alot of NSAIDS and painkillers 20 mg mobic and 12 tylenol extra a day ( iknow that was dangerous ) but i have no choice . now i'm taking both pentasa 4 tablets a day and 6 tablets of sulfa sulfasalzine and stop MOBIC and reduce painkillers to 4

i also taking a multivitamin and calcium ( both containing d vitamins ) and b12 injections that rise the iron absorbed

10 mg of prednisone instead of methotrexat and imuran both dont make any improvment

i didnt change anything in the signature because every thing will changed the next week , but as i mention before sleep troubles and insomnia really bothered my day , i wake a lot at night ............

I remember how horrible it was when I couldn't sleep through the night so my sympathy is with you.
I don't know what advice to give you because everyone is so different with this disease.
If you have never tried diet modification you could try removing gluten from your diet for 1 week and see if any of your symptoms get better.
It started me on my road to remission and finally a nights rest.

quincy ..... i will check my D vitamin level . but i didn't understand you well . you meant that low D amount cause depression and anxiety. ok.

but what is the realtion between reducing pain and vitamin D

FWIW (probably nothing) I remember a House episode where the patient suffered extreme feelings of guilt based on vitamin D deficiency.
