Has anyone found drinking pure Aloe helps with flare-ups or staying in remission? Ive been told buy a few people it works wonders. Any experience here? Cheers.

Personally for me, it made me a lot worse. It gave me the worst pain. Then again I took the powder form. I hear it helps a lot of people though. It really all depends on the person.

Doesn't seem a lot of members here use it.....tried it, yes, but not seem to use it.

I have tried both Aloe vera juice and Aloe vera gel.

The juice made me worse but the gel had some benefits but nothing dramatic

I tried drinking George's Aloe for a month or so. No apparent help....

I tried the juice and threw it up immediately. Never again.

I drink the juice when I have severe stomach pain from gastritis or something like that. It doesn't really help all the way down the line of my colon though...

I have UC for 8 years.The first 4 years my doctor recommended Aloe gel.I mixed it up with water and drunk it in the morning on empty gut.I was doing excellent for 4 years and i thought i was curred and started eating everything :D but it came back :@ :@ :@. Next 4 years i don't eat really healthy but from this year i am strongly motivated to defeat the UC :D

I have had UC for 10 years. I broke my first flare with Aloe pills - it was a miracle to me at time and am glad I took it and continued to use it for four years. That was after Rowasa / Asacol failed after a bad flare and my GI recommended giving it a try. I was in remission for almost five years after that.

With this flare that started in November aloe didn't help at all I found. I might reintroduce it now that I am feeling better the last couple of months using Rowasa / Probiotics / Metamucil.

I also found the pills much more tolerable than the juice. I felt that the juice seemed to make it worse, and the pills did not.
