It has been helpful for me in the pain and bulking up department. I started with 1/2 a serving a day, and found two servings a day helpful which I've done for the last couple of months. Instead of going to be bathroom with painful bm with small stool, i am having larger and more formed stools and movements that are much less painful. I've found the additional fiber to a real help to me.
I also am not eating too many raw vegetables in this flare, so net net I don't think I've changed my daily fiber in take that much. My doctor approved as well as long as it was not causing any major change in the number of trip to the john per day.
