How many people get the flu shot, who have UC? I am worried that the fly shot might agerivate UC? Anyone have any issues or were ok?

I would wager the risk of flaring from contracting the flu would be significantly higher than the risk of getting the shot. My two cents anyway.

Seems about 50/50 here. I don't.

7 different versions this year btw.

The flu shot is a dead virus; it shouldn't affect you.

I've always made it a point to get the flu shot ever since the year I had the flu and it put me into a horrible, horrible flare.
I know it doesn't guarantee my not getting the flu, but even if it helps a little.....

I get the dead virus one every year. It has never affected my UC and I've never gotten the flu.

I get them every year, last year I got both even though I'd managed to get both flus lol. Get the dead virus, not the nose spray.

Neither the shot nor the flu bothered my UC. But in general I'd say the flu would aggravate it more than the shot.
