I wonder what % of people actually have improvement on each drug? Is there info anywhere on this?
Surely some agency is keeping track.
Surely you jest. There is no way Big Pharma will conduct studies that will demonstrate that their ‘proven’ remedies have side effects and may not work for everyone.
For example one of the universal ailments older males like me suffer from is benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). You see advertisements on TV to cure it with drugs like Avodart and Flomax. Of course they have their insidious side effects.
What most do not know is that BPH is EASILY and quickly cured by herbs like Saw Palmetto, Pygeum, and Stinging Nettle. These herbs have absolutely no side effects except an increase in blood levels of testosterone. (And most men will not complain about
too much testosterone).
I have ‘cured’ literally dozens of men with BPH by telling them about
these herbs. Most were adamantly against unproven vitamins and supplements but became true believers after taking saw palmetto. It is standard treatment for BPH in Europe.
The point is that whenever I read about
prostate issues in the latest books and magazines all I see is advice to avoid those herbs because they are ‘unproven’. Of course they will remain unproven as long as no company would conduct tests proving the efficacy of something that cannot be patented. So they continue to advertise their patented drugs on TV. So don’t hold your breath waiting for some agency to keep track.
