Enema bottle is plastic #3- SALOFALK- HARMFUL?

I just started to think about this.

I have been doing enemas on some sort of schedule since march..about 2-4 per week rightnow.

They are in plastic and the plastic number is #3.

I read that #3 is not one of the safer plastics but not quite as bad as #7.

I am just wondering now..my meds are sitting in this plastic that may possible leach ..and I Am inserting these meds in my rectum which some is getting absorbed into my bloodstream...hmmm..kinda freaked out now about this.

Is this a valid worry?

I would probably be more worried if it was a fat or acid...I'd take a lesser inflamed arse, however. I'm not concerned.
I think ingesting foods from #3 plastic or storing in #3 would be of further concern over a longterm...

You're obviously wanting to get pregnant again, right? You have obvious things to concern yourself with....note it, balance it. For the worry with one thing will have you finding a ton more elsewhere.

What happens when you go lower?

You could also consider to ask the doc for the 2g...lower 5ASA dosage. I'm still wondering if that could be part of it?

You might be able to use the Salofalk suppositories on the nights between. How long on the enemas...since the spring?
