I've been home this week, trying to get my energy back up. I was hit with a mean upper respiratory virus last week, and am not sure if it is that, or the inflammation in my colon that is fatiguing me so badly. I have been like this though (fatigued off and on), for the last month. Some days I just have to rest an insane amount, then I feel normal for a while. Other days I just don't feel energetic no matter what.
Here are my thoughts on what could be dragging me down...
-This upper respiratory virus could have been with me, bothering me off and on for the last month, then hitting me hard last week.
-Inflammation of my colon could be causing my body to tire because of the constant immune response.
-I have between 4 and 8 BM's per day. They are not diarrhea, but they are hardly ever extremely packed together... just sort of clumps. The transit time is quick in my body, and even though I am not bleeding, maybe I am either not getting enough iron, B12 or B6? Thinking about getting tested for those deficiencies at my clinic.
-Maybe I'm not getting enough nutrition? I have maybe 1/4th the appetite someone my age/gender should have. I'm still trying to get at least a minimum of 1,500 calories a day in though, even if it means nutritional drinks.
-Lack of exercise? I finally have time to hit the weights and do a little cardio, but have not because my energy is spent. I'm willing to do it anyways, but have just been thinking that it might wear me down more.
-Possibly I'm down mentally? I doubt this honestly, because I only get mentally depressed due to these symptoms.
Any ideas?
My plan is to keep eating, and try starting to exercise some. Keep resting when necessary. Get liquid forms of the vitamins that are vital, and take them that way to ensure proper absorption into my body. Slowly address the diarrhea by doing a toxin cleanse on my bowel followed with probiotics, plus L-glutamine to help with symptoms for the moment. Also, to take something to help repair the mucosal walls of my colon.
I began taking Turmeric in powder form a couple days ago, once in the morning and once at night... about a tsp. at a time, for inflammation of my colon. I'm also experimenting with a Lecithin enema, once at night, homemade, which I only began last evening... but it went well.
I'm just trying to identify and fix my energy deficiency first, while at the same time addressing the colon health issues in a holistic way.
Thanks.
