 I am no longer using the Canasa supp. , but I want to hang on to it just in case I start having symptoms. How long will it last in my fridge? If I freeze it, will that destroy it? If had it since Nov. 8th(ish).

Honestly, if I were you, I'd use it twice weekly for maintenance, but I'm a big believer in using rectal meds for maintenance (except I use enemas).

There should be an expiration date on the package, I'm guessing a year from when it was filled.

I believe you can freeze them but not sure how long they would last. Do you have the package ? Is there an expirations date on the box ?

Yes, keep them in a cool dry place. I wouldn't put them in the fridge, but check the expiration date.

I would not freeze them. I froze mine once by accident in a minifridge that was too cold and they really hurt to insert after they froze. I also had a painful hemorroid that didn't help the situation but now I have the idea in my head that frozen = painful. I would put them in the fridge or in a cool closet.

Who says they need to be frozen. I don't use mine very much, but I keep them in a cool dry place.

I too would not recommend freezing them, just keep them in the fridge. They will still be effective after the exp date just to a lesser extent but I would not use them past 120 days exp

This is slightly OT but I notice that your signature indicates you take Rainbow Light multivitamins. That is the brand I take. I find that it is very comprehensive with generous amounts of micronutrients.

But it isn’t a perfect formula. For some reason most Rainbow formulas do not contain iodine which the body can easily lose during perspiration. It’s OK for most people but you are a super athlete (or a tri-athlete which is close enough). I eat a lot of iodine containing seaweed. Don’t know if it matters but at least you may want to be aware of it.

wow thanks! i didnt know that. I would need some recipes for seaweed. The salt I use has iodine it . I wonder if that is enough .
