You know i have had U.C since 1985[i'm 52 now] and i had a moderate flare in '86.From '86 to 2008 i had minor 'D' or some blood sometimes but nothing that would stop me from living a normal life-usually a ROWASA A FEW NIGHTS and it would stop any imflamation. After getting a bad case of pneumonia in sept '08 life started going downhill for me,i got c-diff,then over the next few months my colitis got worse.I always felt that after being in such a long remission that i was going to get back to normal no matter what i was going thru-but believe me when i had 3 seperate times where i could not hold #2 in i began to wonder about what direction my colitis would take. Now i'm only on 100mg of 6mp,i started taking it in Aug of '09 and it took 7 months before i started seeing signs of getting better,i had 2 or 3 times where i had to stop the 6mp because of a low blood count[i was up to 150mgs at one point].Life is good today hopefully it stays that way,but again i usually felt that i had a good chance chance of getting back to normal-did my somewhat positive thinking have something to do with me getting better?i hope it did-GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL-GOD BLESS
