Bleeding in the AM

Anyone have this experience.? When I wake up and go I usually have some bleeding -- 1st and 2nd BM. If I go again throughout the day -- no more bleeding. What's up?

I have seen people mention this but for me, usually when I am flaring badly, I have blood with every single movement. 80% of my trips to the toilet would be just blood accompanied by cramping, urgency, and pressure. I would think morning movements with limited blood would be a sign that things aren't as severe as they could be!

Thanks for your reply. I am hoping the same to be true -- maybe not as severe. I'll check with my GI next week.

Let us know what your GI says! Last week I had that exact thing happen to me - the first stool and maybe the second had a little blood, but then no blood with any stools later in the day.
I upped my VSL to 3 a day (argh) and am doing nightly Rowasas.....

Yes i use to get the same thing with my UP. First movement blood the rest were fine. I have very mild UP.

I believe I'm coming out of a loong flare, slowly but surely, and have noticed something similar. My first BM of the day (which may not be until afternoon--I tend to be chained to the bathroom in the late evening from 9pm-11pm so my mornings are OK), especially today, will have some bleeding. Then the rest of my BMs for the day okay--I have a lot them and a lot of urgency, but no blood. I also just started VSL and do nightly canasa suppositories.
