Body Aches - Pred Withdrawal or UC?

Hi All,

I am not a big poster, but a frequent reader. I recently went off pred (Dec. 9), after being on it for 14 months. I had tried two other times to get off of it, but relapsed both times. I am scheduled to start Remicade in two weeks.

During this wait time, obviously my symptoms have returned - even with endocort. Lots of D, bleeding, urgency, straining - the works. Up to 12-18x per day at the moment.

So my question is in relation to body aches. My body just aches these last few days - all of it. Muscles and joints feel sore. Could this be a delayed response from the prednisone withdrawal, or is it the UC itself?

I am also exhausted, but figure that is from the UC. I have no other symptoms - no fever, nausea etc.

Any thoughts/opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I am fairly certain I have had adrenal shock from going off to abruptly and when that happens it aches all over. I then return to the dose and cut the pills up and step down again every so slowly. Weeks later I would say it is something else as this happens in a matter of days.

I get aches and pains just from the uc its very common I'm on imuran and mesalime but had the pains before starting tablets they have done studies and joint pain is very common with uc
