I was on pred for a long time so my bones are weak...brocken 4 inthe last 5 years. I was pulled into a wall (dog related) and hit my hand hard 4 days ago and in intense pain now if I use it but the x-ray should nothing. I think there is a hairline fracture...what do I do now??

So you went to the ER? Did you have a concussion? Get a MRI?

no concussion my hand and arm were pulled far ahead of me and the ER did the x-ray and saw no break but I suspect a hairline fracture of a nuckle...not sure what to do now

THey should have told you at the E.R. what to do/how to treat it. Did you get a brace or an ace bandage? Usually when they discharge you they send you home with a page or two of instructions/information about
your injury. Did they give you that?

My apologies...I read head instead of hand! lol You can make an appointment with an orthopedic doc. Have you been icing it?

Pff, I broke my thumb, and never having broken a bone, I KNEW this. The doctor, taking my big grey thumb in his hand, squeezed it very hard and said, "It's just sprained." At which point the nurse came in and said, "It's broken." Thanks, dbag.
But yeah, I'd put a splint on it and ice it. I had to wear a splint for like eight weeks. Still hurts sometimes.
