Hi there..

Again.. new to the UC world.

I was officially diagnosed March 14th after a colonoscopy.  I started having the stomach rumblings in Dec then diarreha for about 2 1/2 weeks (thought it was a bad stomach flu/virus)  Then again in late feb same thing... that's when I went to my GP then referred me to a GI. 

My ? is I started having the stomach rumblings again.. no diarreha.. yet... when do you call the GI back and let him know something might be going wrong again?

BTW.. after by colonoscopy i was put on Flagyl... then on Apriso.. started 5x then after 10 days on 4x a day.  I was also on Hydro enemas 2xs a day for 10 days.....

My next follow up is on 5/5....

Good for you for being in tune with your body!
Hard to tell if this is inflammation somewhere or not. My long-time GI used to say that loud rumblings meant something was inflamed.

Have you tried probiotics or anything else you can take on your own without waiting for the GI's OK.....?

You are still on the Apriso...?

Maybe you should ask for mesalmine enemas? They are very effective for many, without the potential side effects of the steroid enemas (which, again, have less sides than oral pred.)

Yes, on Apriso 4pills a day.

I was wondering if I should call the GI just to let them know about the rumblings to let him know.. as my follow up isn't until 5/5...
