I would LOVE to visit Hawaii too but that involves flying and I have a major phobia of flying! lol

Ok, so I thought my post went through, and I can't find it, so let's try again......

I was born and raised and met my husband in Sacramento, California. We then moved to Arizona 9 months ago. We are loving living here but we didn't chose this state, it chose us. We were wanting to move to either Idaho or Montana but Arizona had the job my husband needed so here we are. We love it, it's more relaxing and less crowded unlike Sacramento, Ca.

we're in southern alabama, where the weather is warm and everyone is a sweetie, darlin or sugar, and the gardens grow easy. the only problem here in the bible belt is that some people are very intolerant of "others" but i guess you'll find that anywhere. it would be tough to leave as all my family is here, but if i had to i'd be like subdued and go everywhere. i've recently been trying to talk my extended family into moving to the rainforest in Belize and opening a Mayan adventure camp... not getting anywhere on that one.

I'm from Wisconsin(as my name says). I was born here and have only lived here.  I like all the seasons of WI but I'm so done with winter right now.  Last sunday we got up to 80 degrees and today it is 35 degrees.  I would move somewhere where you still have all four seasons but winter isn't so long.  My whole family would have to move with me though because I'm so close to my mom, dad, brother, and his wife.

EP, I think it's funny that us Michiganian's think that by moving to the UP that we are moving to an entire different state! lol Of course, that is not too far from the truth to be honest. They have a whole different way of living up there. I have relatives in Iron Mountain (or Iron River - I get mixed up on those two) and when they talk, they sound like a mix between French Candian and Swedish - especially the old timer's. My uncle moved up there and lived for several years...he left sounding like a Troll and came back a Yooper. :)

I have a major phobia of flying too. However, my phobia of trains and boats outweighs my phobia of flying. So if I can't get there by car, then I have no choice but to fly.

I live in a suburb of Vancouver, British Columbia. If I HAD to move, I would cry and cry... I guess I would pick southwestern Ontario because I have family there but seeing as I grew up there and chose to move from there to here, obviously it would not delight me to move back. Maybe Halifax... I worked there for 4 months and really liked it.

Mid Michigan, I love this State! ALTHOUGH my area is flat land, i would like to live elsewhere in Michigan, on the water...I want to live in the U.P. someday, and I want to try as many places as I can before my days are done. I plan on getting into travel nursing so that may come true.

I'm from Winnipeg, Manitoba. I lived in Kenora, Toronto, Ottawa for short periods of time...like where I live and have no desire to move. The pace is perfect for me.

Born and raised in Iowa moved to Austin Tx 14 years ago and don't miss the winters at all!!!!!!

I live in Los Angeles, Califorina.

My family is here so I doubt I'd ever move far away from them or out of the State of Califorina. I guess I would head to a beach in the OC with the sand and ocean as my back yard.

Okay, this is a silly question; and I've Googled it and couldn't come up with anything, but those of you who say you want to move to the UP...where is that? Upper Province? The only thing I know UP standa for is Ulcerative Proctitis...lol. :-)

It's so great up there. I haven't heard anyone talking differently. But I love the great lakes. And there's the best place for pancakes in Epoufette. *drool* If I go on my summer trip I'm making a special stop to get some.

EP, have you been to Sleeping Bear yet? The scenic overlook? That is my absolute favorite place. And in the UP, the Taquemanah (sp?) falls are spectacular. As for the UP accent, it's mostly on the west side of the UP, closer to the Wisconsin border.

I live on the Big Island of Hawaii and it would be pretty tough to move away from here. I think we'd do it if my family ever moves away.
I've been here for almost 19 years and hated it as a high school student but grew to love it after the high school nonsense was all over.

I don't think we'd choose to live on a different island here, we're not a fan of big cities and the less busy islands would have extremely limited work.

I think I would consider Oregon or Washington since I lived in each of those states for a few years. But it would be pretty difficult to go back to the cold weather. It would be nice to try a completely different state, too.

Sherry.. 4 seasons a year...crappy weather and great weather just as anywhere. Hey, even tornadoes on occasion..gulp.

No polar bears here..that's faaarrr north.

Oh, and it's still "affordable" ..
