C Diff/Remicade

Has anyone gotten C Diff after their Remicade treatment? I had to go on anitbiotics for a sinus infection and then picked up C Diff...has this happened to anyone?
they put me on Flagyl..

I didn't get c-diff, but there is a significant risk for UCer's when taking antibiotics when you are on Remicade or not.

It also depends on which antibiotic you took.

The Flagyl should clear it up. Did you get D when taking the antibiotics? If that happens again, call your Dr right way to get started on Flagyl.

I had bronchitis a couple weeks ago and my primary put me on amoxicillian. Anytime I'm put on a med other than by my GI I call and ask if they are okay. They said the amoxicillian was okay but to take a probiotic with it and they called one in to my pharmacy. She said we don't want the antibiotic messing up your good bacteria. I had no problems. My advice would be to ask about a probiotic and anytime you take a new med ask your GI. I don't like taking a new med while on remicade without asking first, I also ask the pharmacist. lol

Hey marvel I am pretty much in the same boat as you I was put on antibiotic, everything was fine then started remicade and then got c.diff. I am also on flagyl but the c. Diff is being very persistent and keeps coming back. How are you doing ?
