ran out of meds

Hi, I was told to phone chemist 3 days before I needed my asacol so they could order it in. I put my meds out for the week on sundays, so I did last sunday as usual realised they ran out on the friday (today) and meant to phone chemist monday but it went right out my head... Now the chemist isn't open til monday maybe even tues beccause mon's a bank hol here. And even then its 3 days after then!! I hav mesavant xl in the cupboard I was givin first off all but could swallow so was given asacol coz ther smaller. I think I'd be able to swallow them now. My question is shld I take these? I remember my doc telling me ther are the same drug just a different make as such.
What u guys think? I don't want the asacol to come right out my system n coz me any effects..

Are you in the UK?
You could call your doctors surgery as there would be an emergency out of hours service and if you speak to someone on the phone, they could probably give you a prescription. There will be some chemist's open this weekend.

Yeh I was going to go to another but my prescription is in the chemist that's shut, and my doc is shut all weekend.. Xx

If you call though, there should be an answerphone message giving you an emergency number.
Call them and explain the situation and they should be able to fax a prescription to a chemist that is open. They should understand that you need your meds. These things happen. I have done this before and I spoke to a doctor who was part of the out of hours team and he faxed a prescription to a Boots that was open.

Aww I see, thanks very much for ur help I'll give em a call 2mro, I remember hearing an emergency num when I rang up once before when it was shut,

Lol I'm working it! Another reason I want my meds sorted,n workin sunday, monday but I'll enjoy a wee day off 2mro thanks, u have a nice weekend too! :) xx
