You're flaring...doesn't matter if it's mild or not. The fact that there's blood means the lining is already in the infalmmation state enough to bleed.
Worried? it is what it is and you haven't yet learned to act quickly enough...that takes experience and understanding of what's happening. It's a process.
I don't think it's being masked by the codeine necessarily...low in the rectum inflammation can cause less stools anyway. You're just not experienced in these types of symptoms....take note!
Definitely you should be on rectal meds for sure and an oral 5ASA med. Why are you not?
