I don't think this is too soon, because I know I will just improve.
So, this is the topic of LDN! This is working people! Please try this before the biologic's like Remicade, Humira, and the new one now Cimzia (these drugs suppress the immune system). Where LDN enhances the immune system, and in enhancing the immune system this promotes the environment of healing the colon and this brings the remission for UC sufferers.
My story is I have progressively gotten worse, worse and worse. I have done the whole gamit of drugs that the physician's can though at me, some worked a bit at first, but never really gotten rid of the bleeding or mucus or D. They were even talking about surgery to me, yet I am not anemic, just can achieve remission on these drugs.
1) Convinced my GI Dr. that I need an antifungal, he gave me Nystatin and I started an antifugal diet (no yeast, no sugar, no complex carbs, no fruit (has sugar-feeds yeast). I had the die-off symptoms for about 3 days. I felt better though after that, yes! Did this for about 6 weeks with the Nystatin. My perscription is out now.
2) Saw an GP/ holistic physician, she started me on UltraInflamxplus 360. With diet, nystatin and Ultraimflam x, Results from above: I achieved 1 normal stool, like I used to have prior to this disease.
3) Got the GP/hositic physician to give me a script for the LDN 4.5 mg. and found a compound pharmacy that has experience in formulating this drug. The filler is the important key, I have the filler as methoclulose which is hyperallergic. I would stay away from avicel. Many people do very well on the transdermal formulation.
4) Continue on the very low sugar, no-gluten, no alcohol, no dairy diet. I just eat cooked vegetables, protein meats (stay away from beef), drink filtered water. I now after two weeks on LDN have eaten frozen yogurt and have done very well...just for a treat.
I am now achieving remission, first time in 8-9 years, the bleeding is very minimal now, stools are forming, yet urgency will take a while, but not as bad has it has been in the past.
I will continue to post my progress!
