Im really considering trying this as I would use my little cousin who is 9mo old as the donor but at 9mo old would it be as effective as using another adult?
My six-month old granddaughter's poo was extremely effective. Three infusions, and I went into remission immediately. She was breastfeeding at the time and her poo was a gooey consistency. The bacteria really took hold in the colon.
One thing, babies don't poo much. It looked like a lot on the diaper, but I was only able to scoop up a small bit. I mixed it was water, half gooey feces, half water, and used a syringe to put it in my butt. I would get about
one to two syringe's worth of the mixture. Despite the small amount, it worked! Plus, I found out later that some have trouble holding in the transplantation if they use too much poo.
Remember to do the fecal transplantation immediately after your cousin poos, before the bacteria has a chance to die. This may be difficult because babies don't poo that often.
Also, don't worry about
the timing of the transplantation in regard to when you poo. I was having diarrhea at the time and the transplantations actually help me hold in my poo longer as soon as I got over the initial sensation of having something put into my rectum.
