I am throwing this out there so someone who has more experience in understanding these scientific papers may be able to help out.
I've recently started taking the coated lecithin from klinipharm. I understand the lecithin is supposed to increase the protective hydrophobic surface in the colon.
However, I happened across something on PubMed which suggest that N-acetyl cysteine(NAC) which I take everyday may decrease mucosal hydrophobicity:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17693944 I tend to get a little lost reading these abstracts and would appreciate if anyone on here more experience than myself could help out.
Am I correct in assuming the use of N-acetyl cysteine(NAC) may be counterproductive to what taking coated Lecithin is trying to accomplish?
Thanks,
PF
