Now that I have been at this for 5 years, I am noticing all the extra-intestinal symptoms that precede my flares. The last week or so I have been really tired (slept 13 hours two nights ago), aching fingers and night sweats. Sure enough, lots of blood in the toilet today. On a positive note, at least I am becoming more aware of my early symptoms so I can jump on things quickly.
Do you have any "early warning signs"?

I am in my second flare and it seems it was preceeded by being very bloated and constipated. The less frequent kind of constipated not the hard stool kind. The Colozal keeps things very soft.

Continual gut discomfort and gas throughout my whole colon that I cannot relate to just food for a few days in a row.
I initially think it could be that I picked up something because of the nausea that always accompanies it.
Bms are normal, however, but maybe a bit more fluffy from the gas.
I do up the probiotics if I think it is something other than a pending flare, but in a few days I go back to nightly enemas for about
10 days. It takes a week for things to totally settle down.

My signs are lots of gas, a difficulty having a BM (rectal inflammation) and and when I pass stool, it hurts. There's also anxiety.

I would say for sure twice a year, depending on how distressed I'm doing regarding commitments, especially when I have little recovery time. It's more like the calm after the storm.
I'm always is some sort of "state"..lol.
