Vaccinations on Imuran?

Tomorrow I have my final Guardasil shot scheduled to be pumped into my arm.. but I completely forgot, its a vaccine! I'm currently taking Imuran and I remember reading the pamplet and it saying not to get live vaccinations... and I called my doctor about the flu and he said I was fine with that, but I forgot about my Guardasil! Any reccomendations/experience? Im going to try to call my dr tomorrow but he is terrible getting back to me. I wouldn't be so worried but I'm actually driving back to school (about 2 1/2 hours) to see friends and the clinic is there... my insurance doesn't cover the shot.  I am SO good with planning! :(

You may be able to ask the nurse administering the shot if you can't reach anyone else. While I was taking Imuran, I got a flu shot, a pneumonia shot and a tetnus shot, all in the same day. I was nervous as could be, but I was fine. Definitely ask someone. The pharmacist is a great suggestion. I would ask the pharmacist and the nurse giving the shot if I couldn't reach the doctor. Always get two opinions, even if one is your doctor.

Those of us on immunosuppressants can get vaccines as long as they are not live, so Gardasil is okay. But double-check with your nurse anyway.
