weird flare

so ive been in remission for a few months now but these past few days have been peculiar. i started getting bad gas pain on thursday or friday so i took some gas x and it helped a little bit. made me get black stool. called my GI yesterday about it and he said to stop the probiotics (florastor and VSL3) for a bit because they may be the cause. so ive had 3 BMs today, two of which were black and all 3 were D. i took two gas x so maybe that explains the black stool? the pain today also feels like a full fledged flare, seemingly outta no where. a few hours ago (after my BMs) i took entocort i have from a previous prescription and some florastor since ive had a history of cdiff. it wasnt tarry so i dont really think it was blood from my upper GI. any thoughts?

i am feeling better since taking the pills. if things keep up tomorrow i definitely will call my GI but this was all just sorta freak and out of left field that i probably had a knee jerk reaction. I have had a pretty rough year colitis wise so i feel comfortable taking some medicine without direct orders from my GI.
