Hi everyone. I've always been good and remembered my Asacol. This time I forgot it and I was taking all my pills and realized the Asacol was missing.

So I'm on 8 a day and I've missed three doses (12 pills). I won't be back til Sunday night. Do you feel it's a good idea to call my doc and get a few pills called in? I'm inclined to do it. I want your opinion. How much per pill is retail Asacol?

I don't know retail cost since each pharmacy is different and dispensing fees vary as well.

Do you have the enemas with you as well? If yes...I think you will be at the very least covered well till you get back on Sunday.

And do you have your probiotics? 

How do you normally get your meds? online?

Hi Quincy, yes, my suitcase is stuffed with enemas and canasas.

do you think I'll be OK til Sunday just on Enemas and Canasas. To tell you the truth, I'm having symptoms -- gas and discomfort and not so fun BMs.

If you saw the post earlier today about horseback riding, you can see things are getting stirred up down there.

No I haven't been taking probiotics.

Hi...no, I haven't arrived to your other post as of yet..I usually start at the top and make my way down the list..lol.

If you're having symptoms, definitely get the asacol. Would your doc be available to call in the med? or...you could go to a walk in clinic?

If your already having symptoms I would def have the doc call some in for you. You don't want to end up in a full blown flare.

Yeah, I agree, esp. w/ symptoms I would get the meds asap. As we know, you want to hit it as fast as possible so it doesn't get out of control.

I forgot my asacol while out of town visiting family last year. I called my doctors office and had them call in a prescription to the local Walmart. I ended up having to pay the months co-pay even though it wasn't a full month's worth of pills. But it was worth not having to worry about what would happen without the meds while I was away.

I got the minimum needed today to tide me over. At $3 a pill, it was my only choice.
