Couldn't agree with you more greenuc. My theory on pediatric IBD is that the nutrients babies depend on from their mothers are not being given to them. Infact they are most likely being introduced to harsh environmental chemicals and toxins, along with poor dietary habits in mothers. It's just my theory though, I'm interested in research that will be ongoing in the next years....
That's a good point. We are exposed to a hole host of stuff at a super young age that wasn't the case even as little as 100 years ago.
Our soils are depleted making it harder to get nutrients out of foods, we rely heavily on harsh pharmaceuticals for a wide variety of ailments, we ingest loads of additives, artificial coloring, highly refined sugars, refined carbohydrates...our meats have antibiotics in them, our vegetables are loaded with pesticides. Ha...I could go on and on. I'm sure any of those things individually isn't a big deal, but when you look at what we are exposed to on the whole, basically from birth, its really no wonder how many chronic conditions have begun sprouting up.
