Remicaide, Azasan, and pregnancy

I am a 27 and was diagnosed 10 years ago with UC.  After 2 hopsitalizations last year I started Remicaide infusions every 8 weeks and responded immediatly, along with 75mg daily of Azasan.

My husband and I are looking to start a family, and I have read MANY warnings about pregnant women taking Azasan.  My DR. suggests I stay on it but also said I could get a second opinion.  I have been symptom free for almost a year and before my last flare was in remission for 5 years with no medication.

Has anyone taken Azasan while pregnant-or anyone just recieving remicaide and in remission.  I understand my Dr. has my health in mind, but I want to be stress free and worrying a drug may cause complications or defects seams like it would cause a flare.

Even if you don't understand all the medicine jargon like me, you will get most of it, and it does summarize things nicely in regards to the latest research near the end.

That webcast was fantastic! Settles my nerves a bit, but I'm pretty convinced I need to try to stop the Azasan. I need to feel comfortable with my decision and not stay on treatment if I am unsure.

Not a problem....the decision is difficult, but must be made by everyone on their own. I was hoping the webcast would provide you the facts you needed so that you could do so and it sounds like it has! Good luck! :)
