Fungicide in o.j., a new worry!

Yesterday there were news reports that the FDA recently found traces of fungicide in orange juice imported into the U.S. from Brazil. The main problem with this: the 2 largest o.j. bottlers in the U.S., Minute Maid (owned by Coca-Cola) & Tropicana (owned by Pepsico), both mix their domestic juice supplies with Brazilian orange juice. / Old Hat (31 yrs with left-sided UC; presently in remission taking brandname Colazal)

Yikes. That's gross. I am going to juice mine instead.

The only orange juice I drink is Sunny D and even then it's only sparingly. It bothers my acid reflux. Thanks for letting us know though. I will be sure to buy a different brand for my kiddos!

I heard about this on NPR yesterday. It's oranges imported from Brazil that are the cause. So if you juice your own OJ. make sure the oranges you buy are from the U.S.

I have a tree outside. It doesn't have any chemicals on it at all.

OJ seems to bother my reflux to unfortunately - I love it but it's tough to enjoy when I know the repercussions.
