hi all, I wanted to know if there is a timeframe for taking vsl3 ? I have been taking it for 7 wks now about
4 to 6 caps a day. I still have some urgency issues but def not as bad as b4. it does seem to work really great though. I still have bloating and pain in the stomach but no bleeding ( until I eat chocolate).

I tried vsl3, it did not work for me and it is expensive at least when I bought it a few years ago. You should try Pharmax HLC intensive. I personally think it is the best.

I tried VSL#3 without any improvement as well. If it works for you, I think you would have to continue it indefinitely. I am sort of happy I don't feel the need to buy it, it's so expensive. Of course, if I used it and it made my symptoms more bearable, I would gladly purchase it over the toxic meds I currently take.

I tried VSL 3 and flared so logic had me stop it given the price.

We will use it forever...If it is helping why would you want to stop?
Everyday you are feeding your colon good bacteria via VSL so if you stop
then things may get worse again...right?
you can always try and see what happens but my thought is if you can stay on it
I would.

I agree with IBDISTHEPITS - if it's working why not continue with it?
I'm still on it too.

thanks all, I asked this question because I thought it was supposed to be used only for a little while I didn't realize it may be forever

I"m taking VSL with psyllium seed powder. So far good results. Went from 15x to 4 times a day. I still have to watch what i eat though. I tried SCD for a while, but was loosing too much weight.
