I had mine removed in the early 90s. Not for UC, however, more for how reactive my body was over the past 10 years. I opted for gold inlays on the bottom, insurance covered it. But wouldn't for the top, which I opted for composite (maybe not the right term).
I still have UC...no change there.

Thanks for posting that, very informative. My dentist just showed me how my fillings are ground down, I was previously a grinder. Teeth and fillings gold etc all ground to sharp edges. So I know the metal got into my system.
Sounds like I can toss this idea onto the scrap heap of failed UC cures without investing time nor money.
