Is there anything that is as powerful but without the side effects? I recently just came down from being on 20 mg and while I was at 10-20 mg (went down by 5mg) and I felt great on it. Better than I have in a year. I just hate the side effects. The insomnia, indigestion, acne, and especially the round stomach and face. The last one bothers me the most.

I've done entocort before but it doesn't work as well as prednisone. Is there anything I can't get these results on but without all the negative effects?

EDIT: I am currently on Humira too.

Can you not take any 5ASA meds?

There's slippery elm bark powder - which is nature's mesalamine.

And there's LDN - low dose naltrexone.

Do some research on LDN - low dose naltrexone, you can search this forum as they are several threads on this. I can tell you it works! Here's the Penn State research done by Dr. Jill Smith with LDN and Crohns Patients.

Oral entocort. I have not tried 5ASA products. They are good? I should also mention I am currently on Humira too, if that changes anything possibly.

I have been on Clipper 5mg for three weeks before that I was bleeding for a year and needing regular blood top ups. At the same time as being given Clipper I was given Salofalk enemas, I stopped bleeding overnight with these two drugs and I feel better than I have in two years. Not noticed any side effects except maybe my face has rounded just a tad more, I love this as it irons out all my wrinkles and knocks 10 years off me, everyone comments on how much better I look now, it's greeeeaaaaattt tongue

We talk about 5ASA meds ALL THE TIME...oral/rectal.

Yes...they're good.
Unless you are allergic.

Yea I looked up 5asa meds and realized I'm on one already (asacol). Just never heard it under that name.
