HELP!!! Could my back pain be caused by my UC???

I am getting frustrated with having this pain between my shoulder blades for almost 2 weeks now.

Not sure if it is stress ( things are a little stressful at work right now) or if it has something to do with my UC.

My UC has been good, no major flare ups, just minor but under control with suppositories right now.

I have been to the chiropractor a couple of times, seems to bring some relief. Am going for a massage today, hopefully it will help.

Am worried that is might be a sign of a side effect from the Imuran?

I read about pancreatis symptoms but it seems that the pain would be more in the front going into my back...no pain in the front.

Has anyone experienced this pain between the shoulder blades? If so how did you make it go away?

I get that, too, mostly around my left shoulder blade. I've never really been worried about it, though, because I imagine it's caused by all the tension in my back and all the housework/bending/lifting I do on a day to day basis. Do you do anything strenuous throughout the day?

It's certainly possible that it's a side effect from your meds. You could always call your doc and ask or if you're concerned have it checked out.

In the meantime, a massage sounds wonderful! You could also try taking an epsom salt or mineral bath. It's not a permanent solution but it sure feels great while you're in the tub :)

Thanks WingZero, my chiropractor thinks it might be from me being hunched over the computer all day. I will definetly try the epsom salts bath tonight.... hopefully the massage will cure it.

This disease is incredible, it can affect parts you didn't even know you had, I find if it aint the illness it's the medication, you just can't win
