The more solid stools can mean that the Asacol is taking care of the upper/sigmoid inflammation and your inflammation can be more limited.
It's good you're having more solid stools, but I still encourage you to consider adding rectal 5aSA as well.
It's awesome you got into med school....i'll assume the rest will help before that starts.

I haven't added any fiber supplements and/or probiotics. Do you recommend I should?
What do the rectal 5aSA do?
The only problem I'm having now is that I'm only having a bowel movement every 3rd day or so. I started taking miralax to help but now I've gained 4 lbs since the solid BMs started which is frustrating.
