Mine go sky high during a bad flare, looking back I can see it happened before the hospitalization in 2006 and again in 2010 which was actually because I took a stroke after a really bad flare. Sagittal Sinus Thrombosis is possible with UC.
"Abstract
Thromboembolic events are serious complications in patients with inflammatory bowel diseases. We describe a 30-year-old man with ulcerative colitis complicated by sagittal sinus thrombosis with normal coagulation profile; he achieved clinical remission with subcutaneous heparin."
www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10812827I was on heparin and cumadin and I got off in 1/2 the time. I no longer take any blood thinners by prescript
ion nor UC medication.
I do take curcumin/turmeric for its blood-thinning and anti-inflammatory effect. I have my platelet count checked once a quarter via
