Don't worry too much right now. Do what you can do right now, ask those questions about
now and then (after delivery), but be prepared that life can surprise you, in good way too. There was a thread, not so long ago, about
flare after delivery, and it feels like in that area there is no rule as well. So maybe for you everything will turn out fine? Now, take that proactive attitude, make yourself healing well now. On the other hand, ask about
the strongest possible medications that you can take while breastfeeding (if you willing to do so), know your options if you flare up just around delivery. Still have time to read about
it, think it over. Maybe CC isn't such a bad idea? How old are your other kids? Think it over that if you flare big time around delivery, will you have enough strength and power to keep it up with all the kids? As they are saying, when mommy is down everybody is down.
I was diagnosed with UC almost the same time I got pregnant for the first time. It was mild case and I managed to have it under control with enemas and colazal - all the way, 9 months. Finished with vaginal delivery. I dropped colazal after delivery, as I wanted safely breastfeed my daughter. After about
a month I went into mid flare again, was back on medication and she was put on the bottle. Second pregnancy, no symptoms at all, during or after the pregnancy, put off all the medication, breastfed my son for a 3 months. This time he wanted to eat so much that I wasn't able to make so much milk
Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
