Sierra, it depends what kind of medication you're taking. If you're on Asacol or similar, you should ask about having your kidney function checked. If you're on Imuran, you want liver checked. If you're flared, they usually check CRP and sed rate, those test results can signify whether the body is dealing with inflammation but some people never have increased results. My blood work generally comes back in the normal range, even when I am flaring. Many of us have vitamin D &/or B deficiencies and I think it's good to get those checked. Iron is good to check as well.
