If you have had blood in your stools for more than 4 years, even a drop, why your GI did not think of a colonoscopy? Since my UC diagnosis, I have also never had formed stools but I don't get blood in the stools either so I don't care if the stools are for not formed or what they call as pumpkin poop (I admit though, I started tooting a lot since then ~baseline inflammation is my suspicion).
With your abdominal pain, thats exactly what I felt like when I had a kidney stone but the pain was so sharp that I ended up in ER at 3am. Just could not take it. The pain accompanied with nausea and I did throw up twice before leaving home. You do say though that your ultrasound came normal. To note, they never did ultrasound for my kidney stone, they did a CT scan (and billed me $8K for that) which clearly showed blocks in kidney (hydronephrosis) as well as the tube, plus inflammation in the colon.

Plus I hate admitting I am having issues....its always like someone asks me how I'm doing and I always say..."Fine!!" or "Great!"
Honestly, I hate the question, How are you? To be blunt, first of all, they REALLY don't care, thats just a lip-service. Secondly, if I am not really well, what are they going to do about
it? They will offer another lip-service, Oh, I am so sorry, hope you feel better!! Don't tell me thats a norm of the society, even if it is, I HATE it.
At the doctor's office, I flately tell them, UC made my life hell... and to the doctor, I support my statement with valid data/argument. (but I have to mention, none of my docs are ***holes).
