Pain pain go away

Well I was released from the hospital on Monday after being there for 10 days due to flare. I get horrible pain with my flares (they said that it could also have to do with having ibs).

Well they released me with 20 pain pills and told me to follow up with my (new) pcp who amongst other things told me to just "hold it if you feel like you have to go" and that pain isn't a bad thing (meanwhile my bp was 160/98 with pulse of 110) from pain.

He gave me a prescription for 20 perks to last 2 weeks. Now I'm not trying to get high here by any means, but one Percocet every 12 hours won't cut it. I ended up going to the Er the next day because the pain was so bad and so were my vitals (170/112 pulse 145). They gave me Iv pain Meds and it brought it down to about 140/90 and Pulse 100.

I have an appointment in the same office as the aforementioned doctor but this time with an np. I'm super nervous about it, afraid I'll look like a drug seeker, what she might say, etc. my mom is actually a patient of hers and she is going to the appointment with me.


I also feel like I might have a throat infection and worry about the antibiotics.

Today's appointment went much better, the doctor really listened to me and gave me some good pain Meds and didn't make me feel uncomfortable talking about it at all. My throat was bothering me too, so she checked and I have thrush too, so I got Meds for it as well.


For the uc I'm currently on remicade, lialda, and canasa suppositories.


I have just found out my niece has chicken pox and I'm so fearful that I will get shingles from it, even bough I haven't been around her... Just stresses me out

most docs aren't worried about giving out vicodin, in terms of my experience.....Just takes the edge off..most of them know this disease sucks... even my GP offers pain meds every time, even though I turn them down. He feels bad for me

They gave me oxycodone (I think that's the name... It's Percocet without the Tylenol). It has helped a lot, but now I'm sick with something else, I had projectile vomiting (thank God my boyfriend was able to pull the car over in time!), my whole body hurts, my neck hurts, and I'm super shaky. I was just able to keep some ginger ale down, which is good cus otherwise I would probably end up in the Er again. Thank goodness for phenergan suppositories!


I am not sure if this is maybe a reaction to the remicade or what. I literally slept all day and I never do that--- even when I was hospitalized.


I'm hoping when I wake up tomorrow I'll feel better, if not probably back to Er for fluids and maybe Ativan (I can't take zofran or compazine for neasea).

I'm feeling a little better now, ate some crackers and ginger ale and my stomach hasn't protested yet (knock wood). I'm really not
Sure what's going on with me and it's so
Frustrating. My throat is killing me and bright red.. Not sure if it's from the thrush, puking, or just sick. I'm gonna see how I feel in the am and go from there ...

My next dose is on Friday (the 6th). Will they give it to me if I am sick?

I'm actually at the Er right now, my throat is covered in blood and is super painful, in addition to all the other symptoms.

But I do think the remicade is working as my BMs are almost normal. I practically cried when I saw it lol.

I had thought that too about the pain Meds but it was before taking them ... Then I couldn't take them (couldn't keep down) so then I get behind on pain which makes me sick... Vicious cycle. Sorry to complain so much you guys are so nice
