Ok.. Short and sweet. First flare 2 months ago.. Pred/lialda no probs other than the pred side effects which are weird but anyways... What should I look for as far as lialda side effects go? Pred has been making me feel kinda bi polar ish but is there anything with the lialda I need to know about
? Also major acne with the pred.. It's everywhere and well.. As long as we're being honest .. Kinda hard to get laid when you look like you have chicken pox! On an antibiotic but so far no good

I am on Lialda and and have been for 2 + years also. I am taking the max dose, 4 pills at night. The only possible side effect that I experienced was intense headaches if I didn't drink enough water. If you get that headache, drink plenty of water and it seems to help considerably. That happened to me a few times but I learned to drink more and haven't had any other symptom since. It has been a great drug for me.
Good luck!

I've been taking Lialda for over a year with no side effects.

I'm on Apriso (and was on Asacol), which has the same active ingredient as Lialda and Asacol and I have had no side effects.
Personally, if you "look" for side effects, I think you're more likely to have them.

short and sweet as well....also get on rectal meds to help prepare you for the next flare so that you probably won't have to go on pred.
