UC link to DVT and pulmonary embolism

Has anyone ever heard if there is a link from UC to getting Deep Vein Thrombosis or pulmonary embolism?

Yes it is an associated risk, in fact I have had 3 PVT's. Perieheral or superficial vein thrombosis.
As far as a link to DVT,pubmed is your friend. The ones I had were 1/4 inch or less sized clot, and boy they hurt, cause a lot of swelling and redness.  The first one I had went to the ER and they thought I had cellulitis in my leg, turns out it was a clot. Mine were all in the legs which is not dangerous, but you can get them in your head,or other spots which are dangerous.

Yes, I don't have time to search for studies but my brother (with mild UC) was hospitalized for DVT last year. Had hundreds of embolisms in his lungs. They told him there was a link and he's lucky to be alive. It did take them numerous ER visits for them to actually look for/find them though.
