Hi To All,
So others experience drenching sweats with an exacerbation of UC?
Just to recap, active proctitis was again diagnosed with me in the ER on Friday. I need further work-up to see if this is limited to this region only at this time. That work-up will take some time, even if I stay home from this trip, that work-up will not happen this early within this medical system. Treatment for proctitis has been effective for mucus, bleeding, discomfort and has helped with formed stools, etc. This is good news. (I had also changed my diet two weeks prior to this ER visit, due to 3 weeks of explosive diarrhea, etc. Thus, diet and Canasa has helped the symptoms.)
The drenching sweats had stopped for a couple of days.
I had skipped the Canasa last night, due to side-effects, and I was awake in the night with drenching sweats... again!
Today, I am having drenching sweats again!
(Stools also loosened up with skipping the Canasa one night.)
I don't have a fever, just am having ongoing drenching sweats... and then chills and more sweat and then chills...
This has appeared to be a part of my symptoms and had gone on during the prior weeks when I'd thought I was only having a prolonged GI bug and some minor GI irritation.
I keep dressing in layers, keep changing clothing, etc.
Would like to get this under control, as I cannot change my clothing so frequently when traveling and while in conference this week and weekend.
Do others have this as a feature of active inflammaton/ulceration?
If so, any known solutions to decrease the drenching sweats? Or just wait it out?
Thanks so much!
With Gratitude,
~Hopeful Heart~
