how best to get some vitamin e up there? not wanting to do a try and hold it in with all my might enema just use some vit e to help soothe? any ideas and your advice's thank you

i was using vit e rectally for about 2 weeks using a baby ear/nose syringe. i would break open the capsules and mix it with a little water. i'd slurpe it up and then insert it.

um it feels good on my rectum but i didn't notice it helping my symptoms at all. i dont have hemmies or any rectal pain when going to the bathroom. i was using it to heal the inflammation in my colon... which it didn't.

I've used vit e off and on for years now, I started with the 400iu capsules but now use the 1000iu ones which are much better.  If you don't want to mix it with your enema use a little warm water and add a few capsules if its the 1000 but if its 400 I add the oil from about 8-10 capsules.  For me it's worked great for the bleeding and healing.  Use it nightly and retain for the night

How much Vit E were you using? I was on around 1200 IUs and saw an immediate difference. Although there were times when I had to increase the dosage to get similar results.

I was following a certain protocol i found online. I did 400 iu on day one, 800 iu on day 2, and kept adding 400 iu every day until i got to some crazy number of iu. i was literally breaking up 20 capsules and it was so time consuming for it not to do anything.

Guys, you don't really need to pierce the capsules.  Most good health stores sell the liquid vit.E.  It comes in a handy little 50ml bottle with it's own dropper.   50 ml is 17,000 IU so it works out much cheaper than the capsules and way easier (less messy) to use.   It's the good stuff too (d-alpha tocopheryl acetate from natural sources) and I pay about $12 a pop.  Brand name Trophic (Canadian)

Getting it 'up there'  well I guess there are plenty of tricks. When I used it I would mix it in with my cortenema.  I suppose if you want to use the E only, you could use an empty enema bottle and mix it with distilled water.  Just how much E is anyones guess, as there are no instructions based on any scientific methodology.

There was a guy who went by the name Sheldon who would jump in with his protocol on all sorts of IBD forums whenever he'd see vit E mentioned- and also just out of the blue sometimes- he was a bit annoying because he would insist on some weird diet of his own to make it work - I am sure the page explaining his theory is out there somewhere- but I have never found anything on pubmed supoorting this therapy, whereas even DMSO has a clinical study - a Saddam Iraq one but a published study nonetheless. I tried vit E enemas wi capsules for a few days twice but gave up because the oil was so clumped up in the water. I'm about to experiment again with lecithin (PC) enemas, so perhaps I will get some liquid E and mix that in for a two-fer.
