Hello W
ren13,
I am still doing very well. It is now about 13 months symptoms free!
Yes, try Pascalite. For me Terramin helped a lot, but Pascalite healed my colon. I think clay works by alkalizing the digestive tract and by doing this it creates an environment for body to heal itself.
Different clays effect different people differently. For some Terramin is the best for others Pascalite. There is also Living clay, which is a strong swelling clay, I tried it first. Living clay would be a good one who has a lot of constant diarrhea like 12+ per day. Remember, Living clay should be hydrated first, unlike Terramin or Pascalite. Terramin and Pascalite does not need to hydrate overnight, just mix, let sit for 15 min. and drink it.
Another good clay is French Green Clay, my recent discovery. This clay is very different. Sometimes it is called marine clay. It was used in Europe for many different diseases including digestive problems like colitis for many years. Check it out: www.frenchclayforall.com.
This clay is very strong with strong pain relieving and healing properties.
Still for me Pascalite is my favorite clay. For my body it is the most soothing. I take about 1/2 teaspoon in 1/2 glass of water per day as my maintenance.
Now I do not follow any specific diet, just do not eat out or any junk foods and no coffee or soft drinks and my personal choice-no meat.
I do eat some wild-caught fish, organic eggs and recently start eating my favorite organic cheese. Also, I do not eat white bread or sweets, just very small amount organic preserves like blueberry with my green tea. I do drink strong black tea (Assam) every morning with sugar. I bake my own whole wheat with rye bread in the bread machine.
Just about every day, I eat a big bowl of organic raw salad with mixed greens and peeled tomatoes. Yes, I still peel my tomatoes.
A few days ago I started drinking Yerba Mate, South American favorite drink, tastes somewhat like green tea but packed with a lot od minerals and vitamins and comparing to any tea or coffee it is a very alkalizing to the body. I like it because it helps with energy without bad side effects.
I would like to remind everybody to take a good probiotic 3 times per day. My 2 favorites: Mutaflor (if you are in Canada) and Prescript-Assist (http://www.prescript-assist.com/)
VSL3 never really worked for me.
For very sensitive people who can not tolerate majority probiotics, I would recommend Dr. Ohhira's probiotic. It is very mild and very gentle. (http://www.drohhiraprobiotics.com/)
Best wishes to everybody.
