I use Anucort suppositories from time to time when hemmies act up.
That might be a less-expensive alternative. With insurance I paid very little for them.
I agree about
the hot baths and exercise. Witch Hazel applied with a cotton ball is also good for exterior relief.
I drink a slippery elm cocktail before bedtime...a tsp in a few ounces of (cranberry) juice mixed with probiotics. You could use water and honey if you prefer. I noticed an almost immediate reduction in urgency when I started drinking the slippery elm mix.
IMO, the powder works a lot better than pills.
Now, I don't let a night go by without drinking it. Also drink it during the day if I have eaten something that causes gas/bloating,
