liquid diet for your colonoscopy prep? I usually do the jello cups orange and green only some broth, maybe some apple juice and water, but I thought maybe i could do something different. Any suggestions?

All I drank was ginger ale the whole day and I think I ate some hard candy. That was all. I would have never thought of jello cups till reading it on here.

As I recall the prep instructions from my HMO say words to the effect of any clear liquid (including jello) that's not red or brown.

Lemonade gatorade, lemonade popsicles, chicken broth... I love lemon flavor but by the end of the day I never want another lemon flavored thing again. I really like having hot chicken broth though, it feels more like a meal.

I always have homemade strained chicken broth in my freezer. Kool aid made nice and sour I like also.(allowed colors) Next time I will also have homemade beef broth ready also.

Since this had to be done, I took full advantage and bought really great stuff. It made me enjoy the process as much as possible. I don't drink calories as a rule, so it was a treat.
White grape juice 'watered' down with carbonated mineral water gave me the bulk of my fluids. So yummy!
I also drank chicken broth, but I thought homemade wasn't going to work because it has nutrition in it, so I used 'store' broth. In particular, Imagine brand.
For dessert I bought a bottle of ginger beer and also some jello.

Last time I froze Nature's Promise organic white grape juice until it was slushy, not solid and it was so good. I mixed it with water and it wasn't overly sweet. So much better than jello and gingerale. I get nausea from things that are overly sweet.

I made my own turkey (because turkey wings were on sale for super cheap!) broth last time I had a c-scope. I threw in onion, garlic, carrots, and some herbs while it was simmering and strained it well. It was a LOT better than store-bought.

So homemade 'bone' broth is 'legal' as far as clear fluids go? There's so much goodness in that! I'm sure a person could survive on that for months, well, maybe a weeks.

Chicken broth is chicken broth, as far as I'm concerned. Reading your above post, they're concerned about
solids, not about
nutrition.
